1 Points may take up to 2 billing cycles to be applied to your Rewards Account Balance. Gas Stations are defined as stand-alone merchants in the U.S. that primarily sell gasoline. Superstores, supermarkets, convenience stores and warehouse clubs that sell gasoline are not considered gas stations. Supermarkets are defined as stand-alone merchants in the U.S. primarily selling supermarket products, excluding superstores and warehouses. Restaurants are defined as stand-alone merchants in the U.S. that primarily serve food. Purchases made at a restaurant located within another establishment (e.g., a restaurant inside a hotel, casino, event venue or retail store, including Bloomingdale’s) may be recognized as purchases at that other establishment, and not at a restaurant, and will not qualify for additional points. American Express determines the industry category for merchants, but Bloomingdale’s reserves the right to determine which purchases qualify for triple points. On December 31 of each year, 75% of all remaining points on your account will be forfeited.
